**Russian Attacks Kill 9, Injure 36 in Ukraine**
At least 9 civilians were killed and 36 injured in Russia’s attacks across Ukraine over the past day. The attacks took place on February 1.
**Four Killed in Poltava**
In Poltava, at least four people were killed and 13 wounded due to a Russian missile strike on a residential building. A search and rescue operation is ongoing.
**Other Attacks**
In Kherson Oblast, one man was killed and four people were wounded after an explosive was dropped from a Russian drone. In Sumy Oblast, three policemen were killed on duty in a Russian aviation strike. In Kharkiv, a 60-year-old woman was killed and four people were wounded when a Russian drone fell on a residential area.
**Multiple Other Attacks**
Russian attacks also injured people in Donetsk, Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kyiv oblasts. In total, Russia launched 53 drones and missiles at civilians and infrastructure.
**President’s Response**
President Volodymyr Zelensky called the attacks “terrorist crimes” and said that Ukraine needs more support in defending itself against Russian terror. He emphasized that every air defense system or anti-missile is a life-saver.
