**Russian Attacks on Ukraine Continue**
Two civilians were killed and 11 others injured in Russian attacks across Ukraine over the past day. Regional authorities reported the deaths on March 4.
Russia launched 99 drones from cities in Russia towards Ukraine overnight, according to Ukraine’s Air Force. The drones targeted several regions, including Kharkiv, Sumy, and Donetsk.
**Air Defense Successfully Downs Drones**
Ukraine’s air defense successfully shot down 65 drones over various regions. Another 32 drones disappeared from radar without causing any damage. This is a common tactic used by Russia to overwhelm Ukraine’s air defenses with decoys.
**Civilian Casualties**
In Donetsk Oblast, a Russian attack killed one person in the town of Pokrovsk and injured another person in the village of Nova Poltavka. In Zaporizhzhia Oblast, a Russian strike killed a 49-year-old man in the village of Omelnyk and injured his wife.
**Regional Governors Report Attacks**
Governors from several regions reported attacks by Russia over the past day. Kherson Oblast was targeted with attacks on 30 settlements, including the regional center of Kherson. Five people were injured as a result. In Odesa Oblast, four people were injured in an attack on the regional center.
**Global Reaction**
The global community continues to react to the ongoing conflict. Oil prices fell by about 2% on March 3, hitting a 12-week low. European leaders are stepping up efforts to address the crisis, with President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen saying that “this is a moment for Europe and we are ready to step up.”
