**Serbian Officials Indicted Over Railway Station Tragedy**
13 people, including former government officials, have been indicted in Novi Sad for their roles in a deadly accident at the city’s main railway station.
On November 1, a concrete awning collapsed at the station entrance, killing 15 people. The indictment was filed by the Novi Sad Higher Public Prosecution against those responsible for public safety and endangerment.
Those charged include former Transport Minister Goran Vesic, Serbian Railways CEO Jelena Tanaskovic, and 11 others involved in the construction of the railway station. They are accused of making mistakes during the rebuilding process.
The prosecution wants them to be kept in custody until their trial. The Higher Public Prosecution also asked for compensation for the victims‘ families and for all defendants to be banned from working.
The case will now go to the Higher Court in Novi Sad, where a judge will decide whether to confirm the indictment.
