Clubs in Georgia will resume their operations on March 5-6. Although the restriction is still in place, 60% of the maximum number of guests allowed will be permitted.
The Interagency Coordination Council made the decision based on the current epidemiological trends. The decision was communicated by the Head of Government Administration to the Head of the Georgian Culture and Creative Industries Union. Ilia Darchiashvili, Giorgi Ghibradze (Chief of the Taskforce under the Interagency Coordination Council at Government Administration) and Nino Kvetenadze (Deputy Business Ombudsman in Georgia) met David Lezhava.
The peak of Omicron has entered a downward phase, as is well known. It was therefore considered possible to restore nightclub operations from March 2022, taking into consideration the stabilizing of the situation in the country.
