**Belarus Exports Microchips Worth Over $125 Million to Russia**
Belarusian companies have sold microchips worth over $125 million to Russian companies in nearly two years. The Belarusian Investigative Center found that from September 2022 to June 2024, Belarus exported microchips worth $400,000 of Western-made chips to Russia.
**Russia Evades Sanctions**
Ukraine has discovered a significant number of foreign components in Russian weaponry, showing that Russia is successfully evading international sanctions. An analysis of approximately 2,500 foreign parts found in Russian drones and missiles indicates that about 73% of these components originate from US manufacturers. Other notable contributors include Switzerland, Japan, and China.
**Belarusian Companies Supply Microchips**
The Belarusian Investigative Center discovered that nearly 10,000 microchips from American and European manufacturers were exported to Russia from September 2022 to June 2024. Some of the key suppliers included “Alexvit Ltd” and “Logistics Company Vostok”. These companies sold hundreds of thousands of microchips worth millions of dollars to Russia.
**Investigation Reveals Key Suppliers**
The investigation found that “Pervyi Kontinent“, a company established shortly after the war in Ukraine began, sold 1,665 microchips worth $155,000 to Russian companies between January and June 2024. The owner of the company, Ilya Tarasyuk, has worked for over 20 years in Belarus’ military-industrial sector.
