Georgia’s Defense Minister Visits Germany
The Minister of Defense of Georgia, Irakli Chikovani, is currently in the Federal Republic of Germany on an official visit.
Chikovani is attending a meeting at the Ramstein Air Base to discuss Ukraine’s military needs. The meeting, called the Ukraine Defense Contact Group, brings together defense ministers and high-ranking officials from many countries that support Ukraine.
The group’s purpose is to find ways for all countries involved to provide coordinated help to Ukraine in its ongoing war with Russia.
Ukraine received help when the United States created this group last April, and now more than 50 countries are part of it.
