**Ruling Party Leader Speaks Out on Parliament Attack**
Irakli Gharibashvili, chairman of the ruling party “Georgian Dream“, has spoken out against the recent attack on the Parliament building in Georgia. He remembered a dark period from his childhood when people were shot with machine guns at the parliament.
Gharibashvili praised the police and the Ministry of Internal Affairs for their role in preventing a coup and revolution. He said that they handled the situation “very coolly”.
**Attack on Police and Parliament Unacceptable**
The chairman of the ruling party condemned the violence seen during the attack, including attacks on police officers and firemen. He called it “completely unacceptable” and an attack on the state itself.
Gharibashvili thanked the police and special forces for their bravery. He said that they prevented a coup and revolution in the country. He also warned against people who may be genuinely protesting but are complicit in the violence.
**Country Needs to Calm Down and Unite**
The leader of the ruling party called on society to calm down and unite around common goals. He said that today, Georgia is beyond peace and needs to come together to move forward.
