Georgia Expects Improved Relations with the US
The chairman of Georgia’s parliamentary committee on regional policy, Irakli Kadagishvili, has spoken about the country‘s expectations for its relations with the United States.
Kadagishvili believes that Georgia and the US will return to their strategic partnership framework. He also thinks this relationship will be stronger and more effective than before.
Georgia and the US have had some problems in the past. But Kadagishvili says those issues are now behind them. He thinks the two countries can work together on many important issues.
Kadagishvili has proposed to the US that they create a list of specific goals to be achieved within certain time frames. This, he believes, will make their partnership more concrete and effective.
He expects both sides to approach this new partnership with greater responsibility and believes nothing will stand in the way of it happening.
