Irakli Kirtskhalia, a “Georgian Dream”, MP, said that there was nothing surprising about this when he analyzed Josep Borrell’s statement to journalists.
According to him, such remarks are an insult to Georgian society.
“I don’t know what to call Borrells statement. These statements are no longer double or triple or quadruple standard. Who cares about us, anyway? We are from a country which, if I am not mistaken is still a part of “Desete”, and a nation that is far behind Georgia in every way. When a high-ranking representative from such an organization makes a statement like that to Georgia, it is a serious matter.
This is an insult to Georgia and our society.
The goal remains the same, however. New names and surnames will be added to the lobbyists that are openly lobbying for the destructive opposition. This is the collective “national movements”. The lobbyists will come from the European Union member states or the USA. Kirtskhalia stated that the Georgians will respond to these narrow groups, and the “collective movement” they lobbied, especially after making such triple, quadruple, and insulting remarks.
Kirtskhalia, speaking on the same subject, explained that this was a dry pre election statement from Borrell that was based on lies.
“A pre-election declaration is made which is completely inadequate, inconsistent with reality, totally destructive to the country, and based on lies. This is highlighted by all the reports and studies prepared by the most authoritative and serious international organizations. How can we evaluate a statement that insults us when you compare Moldova to Georgia in terms of democracy and any direction and say it is dark in Georgia, but there is light in Moldova? The public will not be surprised if I doubt objectively that Mr. Borrell is a member of the lobbyist group that advocates for the “collective movement”.
He could explain to us what criteria and facts he’s using to speak to us. This is a pre-election statement that is based on lies. There is no explanation. Why shouldn’t I suspect this is a form of lobbying or rough interference during the pre-election phase? Irakli Kirtskhalia asked.
