Irakli Kakahidze, the Prime Minister of Georgia told journalists that he called on all political parties in the country to accept the results of the CEC-conducted elections.
Today, as the Prime Minister said, the Georgian people will reject the radical opposition collective “National Movement”.
“I call upon all political parties to accept the results of the CEC elections.” This is a fundamental difference between us and the radicals. We always follow CEC results, but I urge the opposition to accept that when the 60% result comes out, the Georgians will finally reject it. The Georgians finally refused to go back to the dark days. The opposition had no chance of winning because none of the parties could organize a mass action. The opposition leaders were not allowed to speak at the joint meeting. They knew that their reputation was ruined and they would be discredited. In such circumstances, they will face a heavy defeat. Today, the Georgians will finally reject “National Movement”, a radical opposition collective. Irakli Kobakhidze stated that about 60% of Georgians will support peaceful development in the country today.
