**Georgia Wants to Renew Strategic Partnership with US**
The government of Georgia wants to improve its relationship with the United States. The country’s Prime Minister, Irakli Kobakhidze, said this is a “specific roadmap” for a better partnership between the two countries.
Kobakhidze believes that the current US administration has more important things to focus on right now. He thinks they should first solve their own problems at home and end the war in certain areas before paying attention to Georgia’s relations with them.
The Prime Minister also mentioned that the defeat of what he called the “Deep State” would be a key factor in improving Georgian-American relations. This is a reference to some of President Trump‘s speeches, where he talked about taking on powerful forces within the US government.
**Georgia Comments on European Union**
Kobakhidze also made comments about the European Union. He said that the EU is facing severe economic problems and should focus on solving these issues first before dealing with other matters.
According to Kobakhidze, the EU’s leaders should concentrate on addressing their own problems rather than worrying about Georgia or other countries’ relations with them.
