Irakli Kobakhidze, Prime Minister, responded to Bidzina Ivanishvili‘s statement, honorary chair of “Georgian Dream”, by telling journalists that we had to endure a lot of pressure to save our country.
According to him, a small message from these processes was the incident that Irakli Gharibashvili received personally from a certain person.
“I can’t tell you more than that.” Irakli Gharibashvili immediately informed us of this. The processes we had to go through since the beginning February, even before the [Ukrainian] War started, were difficult. These processes continued after the beginning of the war. These days were the most difficult since the start of the war. In March, the relevant meetings continued to be held in a very intensive manner. You remember what happened back in June when we were denied the right to run for office and they tried organizing a revolution in order to disrupt the country. This was a process, and a small message from these processes was an incident that Irakli Gharibashvili received personally from a certain person. Kobakhidze said that we had to endure a lot of pressure to save our country.
Bidzina Ivanishvili (honorary chairman of “Georgian Dream”) said that a high-ranking official from one country, who was speaking with Irakli Gharibashvili (current chairman of “Georgian Dream” and former PM), had a conversation like this: “There are three million of you, and they can’t kill you all in 3-4 days.” You can go into the forest with a group of partisans, we will assist you and then do something else. How many days will we be able to fight, how long can we endure? Maybe 3-4 days. Then they will kill us just for 3-4 days. “We will provide you with everything you need, we will assist you, and then this is what happened,” explained Ivanishvili.
