**PM Kobakhidze Criticizes NGOs Registration**
The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, has spoken out against some non-governmental organizations (NGOs) registering as foreign organizations.
Some NGOs said they didn’t want to be seen as working for foreign powers when the “On Transparency” law was adopted. Now, they’re not only registering as agents of foreign influence but also directly as foreign organizations.
“This is a kind of recognition that they don’t have a homeland,” Kobakhidze said in response to a question about several NGOs registering in Estonia.
The Prime Minister believes these NGOs are stateless and only work against the country’s national interests.
**Kobakhidze on ISFED Request**
Irakli Kobakhidze also addressed a request by the International Society for Fair Election and Democracy (ISFED) to submit Precinct Counting Machine (PCV) results to the Prosecutor‘s Office.
The Prime Minister says this attempt is doomed to fail. He believes it’s essential that the Prosecutor’s Office has accurate information so “everything becomes clear.”
Referring to the 2020 elections, Kobakhidze said ISFED tried to falsify the actual results but failed. This time, they’re not publishing the count results, but their goal remains the same: to create a perception that the elections were falsified.
“Everyone sees that the elections were held cleanly and at a high level,” Kobakhidze stated.
