We would like to thank all international observers who have observed the electoral process in our country. Irakli Kobakhidze, Prime Minister of Georgia, announced that the OSCE/ODIHR played a special part in the process of observation.
As he said, the opposition to the government was not happy with the positive report from the OSCE/ODIHR on the elections.
“Sure, the role played by international observers in this process was crucial.” We must thank all international observers for their work in observing the election process. OSCE/ODIR played a key role in the process of observation and became the main mission for OSCE/ODIHR. We saw our opponents become dissatisfied by the OSCE/ODIHR assessment of the elections. Our opponents often say that European partners are not open to criticism. In this case, we heard our opponents directly challenge the main OSCE/ODIHR monitoring mission because they didn’t like the summary report. “I noticed that the opposition channels cut the press conference off in the middle because they were dissatisfied by the positive evaluations of the elections,” said Kobakhidze.
