**Georgia‘s Prime Minister Candidate Sets Priorities**
Georgia’s future prime minister candidate, Irakli Kobakhidze, has spoken about his top priorities for the country. He says restarting relations with the USA and the European Union is a major goal.
Kobakhidze believes that changes in the USA will give Georgia a chance to improve its ties with America. “We have high hopes for this,” he said. “We will do everything to ensure the resumption of relations.”
**EU Membership by 2030**
One of Kobakhidze’s main goals is to get Georgia into the European Union by 2030. He says that during his government, Georgia made good progress towards EU membership. This included signing an association agreement, a free trade agreement, and getting a visa-free regime.
“We have achieved all these tangible results under our government,” Kobakhidze said. “Our task is to become a member of the European Union by 2030. We are ambitious and want to be the most ready country among all EU candidates.”
**Peace and Stability**
Kobakhidze also stressed that maintaining peace and stability in Georgia is crucial for its development and EU membership.
“We will do everything to ensure peace and stable development in the country,” he said.
**NATO Relations**
The prime minister candidate also spoke about deepening cooperation with NATO. He believes that this will be easier if relations with the USA and EU are improved.
“We have very optimistic expectations” for a reset of relations, Kobakhidze said.
