Adjara and Batumi is the region and city that every Georgian loves. I am happy that this area and city are much more developed today than they were 12 years ago. We will do all we can to make Adjara, and Batumi, even more beautiful and developed. Irakli Kobakhidze, the head of “Georgian Dream”, the election headquarters of the campaign, addressed the crowds gathered in Batumi at the regional event.
According to him Georgia is only 2 weeks away from the crucial elections, which are of the same importance as a referendum.
“Once more, we must remember this is not an election but a decisive vote, where the Georgians must choose whether or not they want war or a peaceful future, whether or not they support immoral propagandists or traditional values, and whether or no they choose Georgia’s dark past or its bright, European-oriented future,” Kobakhidze stated.
He said that there is no alternative for peace, traditional values, and the bright future in Georgia. Therefore, on October 26, voters must make a decision that will preserve peace and bring growth to Georgia.
“Until 2012, Georgia had been ruled by an agency of foreign politicians, an authoritarian government that was stateless. This regime made us remember by torturing and killing people, hijacking TV stations, falsifying election results, and losing 20 percent Georgia’s territory. Irakli Kobakhidze said that the regime had committed heinous crimes and was not distinguished for its economic achievements. In 2012, “Georgian Dream”, took over their heaviest legacy.
