**Georgian Prime Minister Wants to Cut Corruption**
The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, wants his country to be one of the best in the world when it comes to low corruption. He thinks that if they have the right policies, they can reach this goal.
In a message on social media, Kobakhidze said that the Georgian government will do everything possible to make progress in cutting corruption. He pointed out that his own government is transparent and that thousands of its acts are available online.
**Corruption Index Shows Little Progress**
According to Transparency International Georgia, the country’s score for 2024 remains unchanged at 53 out of 100. This means that petty bribery is not widespread, but no major reforms have been made to combat low-level corruption.
Despite this, Georgia remains one of the leading countries in its region when it comes to low corruption. The report says that this is because of reforms carried out years ago to improve access to public services and cut corruption.
