Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said that over 1,120,000 people supported the ruling power. He made this statement to journalists.
Kobakhidze said that the recent election of Mikheil Kavelashvili as president was a key factor in the government‘s legitimacy. He also mentioned that former President Salome Zurabishvili is now just “Citizen Zurabishvili.”
The Prime Minister talked about an invitation to President-elect Zurabishvili’s inauguration. He said it came from an American, but did not name them. Kobakhidze claimed that the invitation was not special and that many people get invited to such events.
He downplayed the importance of the invitation, saying it meant nothing.
