**Georgia‘s Elections Declared Free and Competitive**
The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, says that the OSCE/ODIHR report shows that the country’s recent parliamentary elections were free and competitive.
According to Kobakhidze, this conclusion can be found in the general content of the OSCE/ODIHR report. He also thanked the organization for its work and predicted a harsh reaction from the opposition.
The Prime Minister noted that the opposition had previously attacked the Secretary General of the Council of Europe when he visited Georgia, and that they now expect similar attacks on the OSCE/ODIHR.
Kobakhidze said that his government is ready to work with the OSCE/ODIHR to discuss their recommendations and take them into account where necessary. The report includes specific suggestions for improving the electoral process in Georgia.
