Veteran is a highly regarded status in any society where freedom is valued most. The strength of a state is determined by the attitude it has towards the defenders the motherland – said Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze during his speech on Veteran’s day.
According to the Prime minister, the previous government did not provide solid social benefits for veterans. After coming to power, “the management team began active work in this regard”.
“I want to congratulate all our veterans, the brave fighters in the defense forces, the police, the special services and the people who are dedicated to the motherland, on Veterans Day.
Veteran is a highly regarded status in any society where freedom is valued most. The strength of a state is determined by the attitude it has towards those who defend the homeland. Since we came to power, our first priority has been to take care of you, your well-being and your heroism. This is evident by the fact that we are celebrating this day for a tenth consecutive year.
The previous government did not provide any solid social guarantees. Not even a minimum package for universal insurance was available to veterans. We began working in this direction as soon as we took power. We laid the groundwork for the Department of Veterans Affairs, and made veterans’ care a priority. We have taken many measures to recognize your merits during these years”, said the Prime Minster.
