Our foreign priorities are very important – the most important is European integration. Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze said this at the government meeting.
Kobakhidze said that it is crucial to develop the country in every direction in order to achieve the goal of European Integration by 2030.
Kobakhidze, in this context, focused on economic growth. As he said: “If the economic indicators aren’t appropriate, nobody will accept a country into the European Union.”
“We are awaiting the reset of the relations, which will we believe happen at the beginning of the next year. The Association Agreement and Free Trade Agreement impose specific obligations on us. Our ambitious goal is to meet more than 90% in both directions of these obligations by 2028. This will ensure that Georgia will reach the final goal, which we have set for 2030, namely the full integration of Georgia into the European Union.
In order to achieve this, the country must be developed in all directions including economic growth. “If the economic indicators are not correct, no one will accept a country into the European Union”, Kobakhidze said.
