**Georgian Leader Accuses Opponents of Killing Port Project**
The leader of “Lelo-Strong Georgia,” Irakli Kupradze, has accused Bidzina Ivanishvili, the founder of “Georgian Dream,” of killing the Anaklia Port project. Kupradze said that the port’s construction was hindered by Ivanishvili and his Russian–backed regime.
**Ivanishvili’s Actions**
Kupradze stated during a briefing today that Ivanishvili’s actions have led to the destruction of the port’s prospects. He claimed that the “Georgian Dream” propaganda machine is daily killing off any chance of the project being completed. Kupradze also accused Ivanishvili and his regime of deceiving the public by pretending to work on the project.
**Contract Reveals Corruption**
Kupradze revealed a contract between the Ministry of Justice and the company “White and Case,” which represents the “Georgian Dream” in Paris. The document shows that the “Georgian Dream” paid 72 million lari for nothing, effectively looting the Georgian budget. Kupradze claimed that this money was used to kill the Anaklia project.
**Call for Transparency**
Kupradze called on the “Georgian Dream” to explain how much of the 72 million lari was spent on killing the port project. He emphasized the importance of working with international partners, like the United States, to build projects that are crucial for national security and economic growth.
