Israel and Hezbollah’s Attacks Spark Fears of All-Out War

​Fighting between Israel and the Lebanese militant group resumed on Monday, breaking a brief period of calm after a weekend of intense strikes. According to state and witnesses, Israeli attacks targeted the Lebanese border village of and the coastal city of Sidon, with reports of a car being hit in the latter strike. In a video broadcast on the Hezbollah-controlled Al Manar TV, leader Hassan Nasrallah stated on Sunday that the group had delayed their response to the killing of one of their commanders in in order to allow for potential ceasefire . He also mentioned that the group had been prepared to retaliate since the funeral of commander Mohsen. (AP video by )
