Late Thursday night, a series of powerful explosions shook the southern suburbs of Beirut, causing buildings in the capital to tremble. The blasts were captured on video by Zakaria Al Khatib and have been circulating on the internet. According to reports, Israel was responsible for the airstrikes, which targeted the southern suburbs and also resulted in the closure of the main border crossing between Lebanon and Syria. This latest round of attacks comes after Israel issued a warning for residents in southern Lebanon to evacuate, as tensions between Israel and the militant group Hezbollah continue to escalate.
