Five guards were killed in a series of attacks by the Israeli military in the Khan Younis area of Gaza. The Israeli military said they targeted armed Hamas terrorists who planned to hijack aid trucks.
In one attack, five guards were killed and around 30 people, mostly children, were injured. A Civil Defence spokesman said that the Israeli military had targeted people securing the aid truck, which is a common occurrence in southern Gaza due to severe food shortages.
**IDF Claims Precision Strikes**
The Israeli military claimed they conducted precision strikes on armed Hamas militants at two different meeting places in southern Gaza. They said all the terrorists who were killed were Hamas members and planned to steal humanitarian aid trucks and move them to Hamas-controlled areas.
**Other Reports**
Separately, Israeli air attacks were carried out on two homes near a refugee camp in central Gaza. There are also reports that a limited agreement with Hamas may be in the works.
