**Israeli Air Strikes in Lebanon Kill at Least 23**
The Lebanese Health Ministry reports that at least 23 people were killed by Israeli air strikes on two houses. The attacks occurred in central Lebanon, where displaced families reportedly lived.
In the village of Joun, 15 people, mostly children and women, were killed. Another eight people were killed near Baalchmay. Both villages are located in the Mount Lebanon region, outside areas dominated by Hezbollah.
The Israeli military confirmed it was investigating the strikes. They claimed to have hit targets in Beirut’s southern suburbs that belonged to Hezbollah.
**Rockets Fired from Lebanon Hit Northern Israel**
Hezbollah fired rockets into northern Israel, killing two people in the city of Nahariya.
This comes after Israel’s defense minister ruled out a ceasefire with Hezbollah unless their war objectives were met. The fighting started almost a year ago, sparked by Gaza‘s war and has continued since.
**Lebanon Struggles with Displacement**
Over 3,200 people have been killed in Lebanon since the start of the conflict, including more than 2,600 in seven weeks after Israel’s intense air campaign. Another 1.2 million people have had to flee their homes.
The Israeli military conducted strikes on Tuesday morning in Beirut’s Dahieh suburb. Several buildings were destroyed, but no casualties were reported.
