**Israeli Strike Hits Residential Area in Lebanon**
A building in the town of Aramoun, south-west of Beirut, was hit by an Israeli air strike. The building had been cleared for rescue workers to leave earlier that day.
**Residents Scared and Displaced**
The area is residential and most people living there were internally displaced from other parts of southern Lebanon or the southern suburbs of Beirut. Israel has targeted these areas frequently during its war against Hezbollah, a political group backed by Iran.
**No Warning Before Strike**
Residents said they had no warning before the dawn strike on Wednesday. “Israel is striking everywhere,” one elderly woman said. “There is no place that is safe any more.”
**Concerns About Targeting Displaced People**
Residents are concerned that Israel will target displaced people who live among them or those visiting to provide financial assistance. One resident asked, “If there’s someone stranger here, whoever he is – it might be my own child and I’m not aware of him being in Hezbollah – and they target him, and children and women get killed, isn’t that pitiful?”
