**Italy Extends Military Support to Ukraine**
The Italian parliament’s lower house has approved a law that will keep military support for Ukraine until the end of 2025. This decision was made on January 28.
A majority of lawmakers voted in favor of the measure, with 192 votes yes and 41 no. However, not all parties agreed with this decision. Some were divided, with three supporting it and two opposing it.
Italy has already sent 10 packages of military aid to Ukraine, including advanced air defense systems. Recently, Defense Minister Rustem Umerov announced that another package is on its way.
**Why Italy Supports Ukraine**
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has been a strong supporter of Ukraine since she took office in late 2022. She has promised to help Ukraine until the war ends and has met with her Ukrainian counterpart several times.
This decision shows that Italy will continue to support Ukraine’s fight against Russia for another three years.
