**EU‘s Plan to Help Ukraine Hit by Resistance**
Italy and Spain are hesitant to support the European Union’s plan to give up to 40 billion euros ($43 billion) in military aid to Ukraine this year. The EU wants to double its military aid for Ukraine, but some countries are not sure if they want to help.
**EU Officials Say Most Countries Support Plan**
The head of the EU’s foreign policy, Kaja Kallas, says most countries support the plan. However, there are divisions between countries that are closer to Russia and those further away. Some countries have already given more than 2% of their GDP in aid to Ukraine.

**Spain Has Already Given Aid**
Spanish Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Albares also wants more time to think about it. However, he noted that Spain has already given 1 billion euros ($1.1 billion) in military aid to Ukraine this year.
**Other Countries Not Helping**
