**Italy Helps Ukraine with Funding**

Rome has agreed to give 13 million euros ($13.5 million) to Ukraine’s energy fund. This money will help restore the country’s energy system.

Russia continues to target Ukraine’s , which is very important the country during the cold winter months. Ukraine’s Deputy Roman Andarak said that this funding will allow them to strengthen their energy system and buy essential equipment.

This is not the first time Italy has helped Ukraine. Earlier this month, they agreed to give 2 million euros ($2.07 million) to the United Nations (UNEP) to help strengthen Ukraine’s energy system.

Ukraine’s Giorgia Meloni has promised to Ukraine until the war ends. Russia’s attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure have caused huge material losses, which are estimated to be in billions of dollars.

Over the past three years, Russian have occupied that host important energy facilities, including a large nuclear power plant. This has made it very difficult for Ukraine to maintain its energy system.

The funding from Italy will help Ukraine restore its energy sector and make it more resilient against further attacks.
