Czech Government Sanctions Georgian Officials
The Czech government has imposed sanctions on three officials from the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs. This decision was made by Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavský.
He said the reason for the sanctions is that these officials were responsible for stopping protests in Georgia last year. The protests were met with force, and many people were hurt.
Lipavský wrote on social media: “The three employees are directly responsible for the brutal suppression of protests. We don‘t want them in the Czech Republic.”
