**US Sanctions Affect Croatian Oil Pipeline Operator**
A company that operates oil pipelines in Croatia, called JANAF, says it can’t yet understand how US sanctions will affect its business.
These sanctions were placed on Russian companies because of their involvement in Ukraine. They also apply to a Serbian oil company called NIS. JANAF works with NIS to transport oil.
The US sanctions are meant to stop Russia‘s energy companies from doing business and making money. But since it’s hard to predict how strict the sanctions will be, it’s difficult for JANAF to know what impact they’ll have on its operations.
JANAF says it will keep an eye on the situation and change its plans if necessary.
