**Japan and Ukraine Sign Information Security Deal**
Japanese Foreign Minister Takeshi Iwaya met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on November 16 in Kyiv. During the meeting, they signed an agreement to protect each other’s information security.
The visit was significant because Japan is concerned about North Korea supplying Russia with military equipment and troops for the war in Ukraine. This has led Japan to warn that what is happening in Ukraine could happen in East Asia tomorrow.
Iwaya emphasized Japan’s continued support for Ukraine during his meeting with President Zelenskyy. The information security agreement is part of this ongoing support. The two countries also discussed their concerns about North Korea and Russia working together militarily.
