**US Congressman Supports Georgian People**
A US congressman has spoken out in support of the Georgian people. Joe Wilson, chairman of the Helsinki Commission, said it’s time for consequences to be faced by those who harass others.
Wilson gave an interview to “Global News“. He said that Donald Trump, the President of the United States, will stand with the Georgian people and not the regime that rigged the elections.
**Violence Against Protesters**
The congressman condemned the violence against protesters in Georgia. He said that everyone who believes in freedom and democracy should stand together against this crime.
Wilson praised the Georgian people for continuing to protest despite the violence. He compared their struggle to others in Eastern Europe, such as in Bucharest, East Germany, and Budapest.
**Questionable Elections**
Regarding the parliamentary elections in Georgia, Wilson said they were not conducted fairly. He claimed that there were many violations, which were also reported by EU and international observers.
The congressman stated that the Georgian Dream party is illegitimate because it came to power through manipulative means. He accused them of violating the constitution and brutally suppressing protesters.
**US Support**
Wilson believes that Donald Trump will support the Georgian people. He said that Trump values freedom and democracy, and will not back a regime that rigged elections.
