**US Congressman Slams Georgia’s Leader**
A US congressman has spoken out against the leader of Georgia, Bidzina Ivanishvili. Joe Wilson said that Ivanishvili’s regime is like a dictatorship. He wants immediate sanctions and free elections in Georgia.
Recently, two important people were attacked at the airport. Salome Zurabishvili, Georgia’s President, was hit with eggs when she arrived back in the country. Giorgi Gakharia, a former Prime Minister, was also attacked with eggs. He said that he was confronted by a group of people who were organized by Ivanishvili.
**A Statement from the ‘Gakharia for Georgia‘ Party**
The party led by Gakharia released a statement saying that the police did nothing to stop the attack on their leader and another man, Elguja Khokrishvili. They said that there was verbal abuse before the eggs were thrown.
