US Politician Urges OSCE President to Avoid Georgia Visit
The president of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe’s (OSCE) Parliamentary Assembly, Pia Kauma, is being asked not to visit Georgia at this time. This call has come from a US Congressman named Joe Wilson.
Congressman Wilson thinks that the Georgian government will use Mrs. Kauma’s visit to make its rule seem more legitimate. He believes that this would be unfair and that US money should not be used for this purpose.
In a letter, Congressman Wilson wrote: “I am deeply concerned that the current government in Georgia might use your visit to make their power look stronger.”
