Former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has made a strong statement about Russia‘s leader Vladimir Putin. In an interview, Johnson compared Putin to Adolf Hitler.
Johnson said that Putin is using the same twisted version of history to justify his aggressive actions as Hitler did. He also pointed out that Putin talks about protecting Russian speakers and culture in Ukraine, which is similar to Hitler’s justifications for invading other countries.
Johnson warned that if Russia’s aggression is not stopped, it will get worse, much like it did during Hitler’s time. As a leader who visited war-torn Ukraine often while in office, Johnson knows the importance of supporting Ukraine.
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán has also expressed concerns about the future of European support for Ukraine. He warned that Europe may need to change its strategy on aid and urged EU leaders to take urgent action before this week’s summit in Budapest.
