A group of judges and employees in the judiciary went on strike in Serbia. They stopped working for the whole day, as planned.
According to a union announcement, all staff members at courts, public prosecutors’ offices, and criminal enforcement institutes took part in the strike.
**Judge’s Memo Sparks Outrage**
Serbia’s High Council of the Judiciary President Zorana Delibasic sent a memo instructing court presidents to document participants in the strike. She also asked them to reduce these employees’ salaries accordingly.
Appeals Court Judge Miodrag Majic criticized this move on social media, calling it “a new low” for the judiciary’s leadership.
