** Attack Police Barracks in Chechnya**

On December 12, local media and reported that drones attacked the barracks of a police regiment in Grozny, Chechnya. The attack damaged the roof of the building, shattered windows, and lightly injured four men on guard duty.

This is the third reported drone strike against Chechnya during Russia’s against Ukraine. The previous attacks occurred on December 4 and October 29.

The European Commission announced 170 million euros ($178 million) in financial support for six European countries bordering Russia and Belarus to bolster their border protection efforts.

**Ukraine’s Military Efforts**

Ukraine has allocated 26.3% of its gross domestic product (GDP) to defense and security expenditures for the next year. This includes funds for arms purchases and drone production.
