Kadyrov claims that he revoked the order not to take Ukrainian soldier prisoners

On Nov. , Ramzan Kadyrov, the Chechen dictator, claimed that he had revoked his order to his soldiers not to capture Ukrainians.
After the first drone attack against Russia’s North Caucasus Republic that targeted the Russian Special Forces (Vladimir Putin) in the Chechen City of Gudermes, Kadyrov announced he had ordered all his commanders fighting Ukraine to “not take prisoners” and instead kill any surrendering Ukrainian soldiers.
In a recent Telegram message, Kadyrov claimed to have received “more than 2000 letters from Ukrainians”, asking him to cancel his order. He did not offer any proof to his claims.
Kadyrov claimed earlier that there were casualties in the captives following a drone attack on Chechnya. Ukrainian prisoners of war were killed by the drone strike at the military university.
Kyiv has not claimed responsibility for the attack and declined to comment on Kadyrov’s claims.
A source told The Kyiv Independent, on October 29, that the drone strike may have been launched from the neighboring republics Dagestan or Ingushetia. It could also be connected to a feud involving Kadyrov and officials in the two regions.
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of 2022, Ukraine has documented more than 100 cases where Russia executed Ukrainian POWs summarily. Dmytro Lubinets, the Ombudsman, clarified that it is likely that the number of executions is much higher than 100 since the start of the full-scale invasion in 2022.
Kadyrov stated that after the first drone attack against Russia’s North Caucasus Republic, which targeted the Russian Special Forces University (Vladimir Putin) in the Chechen City of Gudermes, on October 29, he had ordered all his commanders fighting Ukraine to “not take prisoners and destroy” Ukrainian soldier as a retribution.
Radek Sikorski, the Polish Foreign Minister, said that Kyiv can buy weapons on credit from Polish factories. He added that the loan could be repaid after the ‘s rebuilding.

The Air Force reported that Ukrainian forces shot down 39 of the 71 Shahed drones and unidentified drones that Russia launched overnight. The Air Force added that 21 drones were “lost” and five more flew towards Russia.
Kyiv City military administration said that all drones that were threatening the city had been neutralized, without specifying how many drones were shot down.
“Active hostilities which continue in certain regions require constant renewal of resources of Ukrainian units,” Commander in Chief Oleksandr Sryskyi said.
According to Ukraine’s services, North Korean soldiers were equipped with 60-mm mortars and AK-12 rifles. They also received machine guns, sniper weapons, Feniks guided anti-tank , as well as hand-held antitank grenade launches.
This includes 1,270 casualties that Russian forces have suffered in the last day.
