Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze has spoken out against President Salome Zurabishvili. He says she is not working for the people of Georgia, but instead follows orders from another country.
Kaladze said that Zurabishvili does not represent her own family or herself, and certainly doesn’t represent the people of Georgia. According to him, she is acting on behalf of a foreign power.
The Mayor’s comments were made to journalists and suggest that he believes Zurabishvili will soon lose her position as President. He said “she will go where she deserves” in just a few days time.
Kaladze also criticized the way Zurabishvili has been encouraging school children to take part in protests. He called this behavior “outrageous” and said it was a sign of how desperate she had become.
