Kakha Kaladze, General Secretary of “Georgian Dream,” has spoken out against potential sanctions from the UK. He believes such a decision would be very bad for Britain’s reputation.
Kaladze expressed his hope that things will change after January 20. He said many countries are seeing decisions made without fairness or justice. Even the newly elected US president has promised to defeat the “Deep State.”
When asked if the party‘s statement was harsher towards the UK because of Bidzina Ivanishvili‘s offshore companies, Kaladze denied this suggestion.
He explained that the country will not be intimidated by threats or sanctions when it comes to defending its interests. The party’s statement was meant to warn against unfair decisions.
Kaladze said Britain has always been associated with justice and fairness. If they decide on sanctions, it would be a sad day for them. He hopes things will change after January 20.
