The Georgian people has gained a lot of wisdom and experience over the past 30 years. In all the difficult times, you stood with us, and that’s what allowed us overcome all the obstacles and protect the Georgian national interests to the end. – This is how Kakha Kaladze, the mayor of the capital and general secretary of the “Georgian Dream“, addressed the Georgian voter a few hours prior to the elections.
As Kaladze stated in his video, the continuation and maintenance of peace is required to continue the started case.
“We welcome our fellow Citizens. Welcome to our compatriots who live abroad. Welcome to all generations. We welcome young people who we hope will create a brighter future for our country.
The last four years have been a time of many challenges for our country. We were able, despite the most intense pressure, to maintain peace in Georgia.
All of this was not an easy task. All this cost us a great deal of energy and nerves. However, our team, “Georgian Dream”, showed dignity and brought the country forward.
The role of the government is vital in protecting the interests and values of the state. We would not have been successful without the support from you, the Georgians. The Georgian people has gained a lot of wisdom and experience over the past 30+ years. In all of these four years, you stood with us in all of our difficult moments. That is what enabled us to overcome all obstacles and protect the Georgian national interests to the end.
In order to continue the work, it is important to maintain and protect peace. I am confident that tomorrow, October 26, the Georgians and “Georgian Dream”, will stand together just as we have done for the last 4 years to fight for our country, dignity, and prosperity.
The choice has never before been so simple. On one side, there is slavish loyalty, hatred, and patriotism. On the other, there are peace, freedom and love, as well as patriotism. We must love each other and our motherland in order to build a bright European future for a united and free Georgia.
“We have to come out tomorrow, more than one million Georgians,” Kaladze said.
