Kakha Kaladze, the General Secretary of “Georgian Dream,” has criticized opposition parties for their political bankruptcy and lack of resources to gain public approval.
In a letter to the opposition, Kaladze said that opposition figures had become politically irrelevant. He described them as individuals lacking the necessary resources and public backing. He predicted that Georgians would “give opposition its proper place” at the upcoming elections.
“These people are political bankrupt. They have no resources to support and cooperate.”
Kaladze believes that the opposition operates in a closed circle and uses intimidation and insults as a means to control their supporters. He said that they were stuck in their echo chamber and believed that the world revolved around them despite not having any real influence in the nation.

Kaladze, referring to past elections in Georgia, noted the Georgian people‘s attitude towards opposition-backed candidate Salome Zurabishvili. This suggests that the Georgian people have already expressed their stance toward the opposition. He also hinted at external forces that are pressuring opposition parties into unity.
