**Tbilisi Mayor: President Should Meet Opposition, Not Ivanishvili**
President Salome Zurabishvili has offered a meeting with Bidzina Ivanishvili, but Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze thinks she should meet with the opposition instead. This is because the opposition is currently in crisis.
Kaladze made these comments after President Zurabishvili’s statement offering Ivanishvili a meeting. He said that anyone who breaks the law will face consequences, regardless of their position.
**No Arrests for Politicians?**
The Prime Minister recently suggested that President Zurabishvili could be arrested if she commits a crime. Kaladze disagreed with this idea, saying that politicians are not above the law. If someone commits a crime, they will face legal action, he said.
When asked what kind of crime President Zurabishvili might commit, Kaladze mentioned misappropriation (taking money that doesn’t belong to you).
**Elections Will Happen**
Kaladze also talked about upcoming elections in Georgia. He confirmed that local self-government elections will take place next year and parliamentary elections will happen in 2028. The exact date of the parliamentary elections has not been decided yet, but it will be announced later.
