**Georgia Will Continue to Pursue Its Interests**
The government of Georgia will not stop working for its people, despite threats from the European Union. This is what Kakha Kaladze, General Secretary of “Georgian Dream“, said in response to a statement by Joseph Borrell, High Representative of the European Union.
Kaladze was reacting to Borrell’s suggestion that financial assistance from the EU should go directly to civil society and state agencies instead of the government. Kaladze called this statement speculative and unfounded.
“We have heard these threats before,” he said. “This is the third time they have made such an announcement, but we will not stop working for our country and its people.”
**Georgia Is Moving Forward**
Kaladze also pointed out that Georgia is making progress in all areas, according to international institutions. He said that the government has carried out reforms and taken steps towards European integration.
“We are not going to stop there,” he said. “We will do everything we can to become a member of the EU as soon as possible.”
**Investigation into Election Fraud**
Kaladze also responded to calls for an investigation into alleged election fraud. He said that the Central Election Commission has already applied to the General Prosecutor’s Office, but no evidence of fraud has been presented.
“The opposition has been talking about this since the day of the elections,” he said. “But so far, they have not presented any facts.”
**Opposition Trying to Destabilize the Country**
Kaladze also commented on a letter sent by four political parties to the EU. He called their attempt to destabilize the country.
“The opposition is trying to do what it always does: cause chaos and harm the government,” he said. “We will not let them succeed.”
