The government of Georgia will not stop working for its people, despite threats from the European . This is what Kakha Kaladze, General Secretary of ““, said in response to statement by Joseph Borrell, Representative of the European Union.

Kaladze was reacting to Borrell’s suggestion that financial assistance from the EU should go directly to civil society and instead of the government. Kaladze called this statement speculative and unfounded.

“We have heard these threats before,” he said. “This is the third time they have such an announcement, but we will not stop working for our country and its people.”

“The opposition is trying to do what it always does: cause chaos and harm the government,” he said. “We will not let them succeed.”
