“I would like to thank all the brave people who came out to vote and did so despite unprecedented intimidation.
The results announced by CEC do reflect the political moods of the Georgian people. The “Edison Research”, which I trust as it provided the most accurate and closest data to the official results of the previous elections, gave the opposition a total of 52% and number 41 – 41%. “Dream“, which received the 41%, did so by bribing people with 200 GEL and then controlling them. The ballot paper was so thin that it was easy to flip over and see a circle with a marker. This made it possible to determine which party a voter had voted for.
Everyone agrees that the elections are rigged. What is the fairest way to resolve this situation? Of course, there are many options, and we will offer you one of them: in those non-Georgian-speaking districts, where the falsification had a mass character and “Dream” was written by more than 70%, as well as in the entire Sachkheri district, the election results should be annulled. A temporary parliament, with a technical government, will be formed based on the results from the remaining precincts. This will ensure that new parliamentary election are held within six months.
Today is Sunday, October 28. I will be attending a peaceful protest which, according to me, should last about 2-3 hours. It is important to show that we don’t tolerate violence!” – says Kakha Okriashvili.
