“Because each of you rely on Kakha Kaladze and my team, I’m ready to take the responsibility in front of Tbilisi again,” said Tbilisi mayor and Georgian Dream mayoral nominee Kakha Kaladze.
Kaladze and his team laid a solid base for the development and rebuilding of the city in these four years. Kaladze said that Tbilisians can see the work done to ensure they have regular, clean transportation even today. He added that several more tenders must be completed and announced before Tbilisi can be assured of regular, fully developed municipal transportation.
“We have been able to fix more than 1000 streets, including those that the previous government didn’t even bother to go. I also do not forget the fact that there are still some streets in Tbilisi which we haven’t been able fix yet. We will not be in a position to solve all problems in four-years, but it is clear that the large-scale reconstruction of the city has continued. The interests of the local population have not been ignored. Kaladze said that many settlements had been rehabilitated. “I feel the gratitude of this people, which I find most important,” he said.
The mayor said that Tbilisi, and the entire country, need peace, tranquility and stability today, but most importantly, the development and reconstruction the city.
