EU diplomats suggest giving Ukraine more military help. Some EU countries are not sure about this.
The European Union‘s foreign policy chief, Kallas, says there is a lot of support for the idea. But he also says that many details need to be worked out.
Kallas wants the EU to move quickly on this plan. He plans to talk more about it with other EU defense ministers in Warsaw, Poland, on April 2-3.
Hungary’s foreign minister, Peter Szijjarto, is against giving Ukraine more aid. He says Hungary will not help fund arms shipments to Ukraine.
Hungary’s leader, Viktor Orban, has always tried to stop the EU from helping Ukraine and has also delayed punishing Russia for its actions in the conflict.
