The Telegraph reports that the Kremlin distributed for the first time its manual to soldiers, which includes instructions on how dig mass graves and maintain them. This comes as Russia continues its war in Ukraine, where it is suffering increasing casualties.
The document was released at a time when Russian forces were suffering approximately 1,200 casualties per day for most of 2024. Western intelligence estimates indicate that Russia may have lost as many as 680,000 men to death or injury. Experts believe Russia’s high death rates are due to its “swarm infantry tactics,” also known as “meat attacks,” which involve relentless frontal assaults intended to overwhelm Ukrainian troops through sheer numbers and repeated engagements.
